About the Event:
The day to Griffith will include two games of ten pin bowling, lunch at the complex and a movie. Buses will be running from Hillston (stopping in Merriwagga and Goolgowi) and Rankins Springs for the event. Students must be aged twelve and above, and tickets are only $5 per student. Tickets must be paid for by Wednesday 25th March and are limited so students are encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment.

The bus will depart Hillston at 8.30am and Rankins Springs at 9.30am. Students must have permission slips signed and returned to Carrathool Shire Council by a parent or guardian by Wednesday 25th March. The Coleambally Community Volunteer Stage Production Company (ColCom) will host a massive Battle of the Bands Outdoor Concert for youth from throughout the Riverina in what is hoped to become an annual event. It will be held from 10.00am-10.00pm on Saturday March 28th, 2009. Prize money of $500 first prize, $300 second prize and $200 third prize is being offered.

About the Event:
"In the Bin" is the Short Film Festival. This is Tumut Shire Youth Councils 5th year to host this event. This workshop has been incredibly successful over the years and everyone looks forward to it each year. It is a 3 day workshop where students learn to write and produce a short film. The dates of the "In the Bin" Festival are March 30-31 and April 1 with the performance that evening at the Montreal Theatre in Russell Street, Tumut. The performance at the Montreal will ask for a gold coin donation please.
